We are delighted to announce that we have been appointed by Platform Housing Group to act on their behalf in relation to banking and finance, and property and development work.
Platform Housing Group has over 46,000 homes across the Midlands, making it the region’s largest registered provider and one of the leading providers nationally.
We have a long-standing relationship with Platform, having worked with the group and its predecessor businesses since 2013. Most recently, we acted on the establishment of the group’s £1bn Euro medium term note programme, which will help develop affordable housing across the Midlands and improve the energy efficiency of Platform’s existing homes.
The successful tender process, which covers a four-year period until January 2026, was led by Partners, Chris Drabble (client relationship manager), Julian Barker (corporate and finance), and Jonathan Corris (property and development).
Chris Drabble, Partner in our Property Charging team, said: “We’re thrilled to be able to continue supporting the Platform team in their work to bring affordable homes to the Midlands. Platform do some fantastic work in providing social housing for those who need homes and Devonshires are proud to work with them. The whole team at Devonshires stands ready to support them and look forward to continuing our working relationship.”
Nathan Barson, Procurement Director at Platform Housing Group, said: “It is great to see our new Category Management function using the tools and techniques to deliver such high quality work; not only have we successfully mapped our complex requirements but we have managed to secure commercially robust agreements with some of the country’s leading law firms. We have added value, successfully matched our ambitions to the leading players in the market and ensured we have the partnerships in place for a truly modern housing association.”
