Supported Housing Regulation Consultation

Supported Housing Regulation Consultation

The Supported Housing regulation consultation is seeking views on the Government’s proposals to introduce a locally led licensing regime for supported housing, and new National Supported Housing Standards, as mandated in the Supported Housing (Regulatory Oversight) Act 2023.  The Government is also consulting on changes to Housing Benefit Regulations. This could have a significant impact on the provision and quality of supported housing and the recovery of Housing Benefit, which the Government is proposing to tighten up with the potential implementation of a definition of care, support and supervision.

The consultation is due to close on 15 May 2025. This webinar will discuss the key provisions proposed, how these could impact RPs, Local Authorities and charities, and what aspects could cause particular difficulties

Topics Covered:

  • Licencing
  • Regulatory Standards
  • Planning use class
  • House Benefit changes
