On 10 August 2023, Devonshires attended Pathways to Law National Conference and Careers Fair hosted at Warwick University where we delivered two workshops and hosted a stand at the Careers Fair.
Sharon Thandi and Hannah Nichols delivered two interactive spotlight sessions for students to gain insight into pursuing a career in law as well as getting them to think like a lawyer when dealing with a case study problem.
Hannah, Sharon and Harry Lindow also hosted a stand at the Careers Fair answering questions from students about the firm and working in law. It was great to also meet lots of students who had carried out work experience at the firm through the Sutton Trust.
“It was a really interesting day and the students we talked to were all so motivated and keen to learn. Their knowledge and insights already at the age of 17 was particularly impressive.” – Sharon Thandi.
Devonshires is working with the Sutton Trust, an educational charity which aims to improve social mobility and address educational disadvantage. The Pathways to Law National Conference was attended by around 250 year 12 students from across the UK for students from less-represented background to get an insight into the sector.
