Amirah has recently qualified into the Banking, Governance and Corporate department.

Amirah will be working alongside Helen Curtis, Partner in the Corporate team, and the wider Corporate team and Alice Overton, Partner in the Banking team, assisting with the Consumer Credit work.

She completed her first seat in Housing Management & Property Litigation, her second seat in Real Estate & Projects, working in the commercial property team, her third seat in the Corporate department and her final seat in Housing Management and Property Litigation

Amirah trained with Devonshires and qualified in March 2025.

During her training contract, she completed her first seat in Housing Management & Property Litigation, her second seat in Real Estate & Projects, working in the commercial property team, and her third seat in the Corporate department.


Conferences

Amirah gave a talk at Employability Day on 4 July 2023, about her interview experience for the training contract at Devonshires.

Amirah also volunteered for the Reverse Interview segment at Employability Day on 24 April 2024.


Education

Amirah has graduated from BPP Law School, obtaining a Distinction in her LPC LLM course.

Amirah graduated from the University of Kent with a LLB Law degree and achieved a 2:1.

Notable Cases

Amirah assisted on an immigration case for a litigant in person. Her bilingual skills and previous knowledge of the Immigration Rules, specifically Appendix FM, helped her greatly on helping the client and the supervising Solicitor communicate and allowed her to get started on the matter in a timely manner.

Amirah assisted on a First-tier Tribunal application brought by a long lessee against the lessor on whether the service charges charged to her are payable and further, whether these costs are reasonable.

Amirah took ownership of a share sale transaction from the beginning to completion during her seat in the Corporate department.

Amirah was on secondment at L&Q, where she worked on a high-profile project.

Amirah had conduct over a residential purchase during her Real Estate and Projects seat.
