When managing adverse incidents it is important for providers to be open and transparent with those who use services but also others who are acting lawfully on their behalf in relation to care and treatment. Ensuring compliance with Regulation 20 of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 is vital and can often raise tricky issues around capacity and information sharing with others. In this webinar we will look at the specific requirements that providers must follow when things go wrong, the consequences of failure to comply and an overview of the data protection/GDPR considerations about information sharing with family, friends and those involved in an individual’s care.
