Devonshires has further strengthened its corporate team with the appointment of James Lyons as a partner.
With 18 years’ experience, James joins from Ashfords’ London office where he helped to grow its London corporate offering, working with clients including AIM listed companies, UK subsidiaries of international firms and SMEs.
He was formerly a corporate partner at Trowers & Hamlins for five years, and also spent six years at Olswang and four years with Allen & Overy.
His expertise includes managing large corporate transactions and joint ventures in the real estate sector for PLCs, Registered Providers, private investors and international funds. He has led a vast range of high-value, complex deals, including advising an overseas pension fund on its £318m corporate acquisition of prime central London offices, and advising a private bank on its £209m acquisition of a 50% stake in one of the UK’s largest retail parks.
