Testimonials

“Llewellyn performed an excellent service and great understanding of my situation. Very precise, knowledgeable and responsive to my query’s and questions. Completed the service within the agreed time scales and I got the desired outcome.”

“My experience with Devonshires was the first time working with a solicitor for a purpose outside of house purchasing and, though mine was not a long process, it was still a nerve-wracking situation for me so it was a relief to feel so supported. I was lucky to work with Llewellyn who was kind and considerate throughout, as well as very efficient and observant and did not allow even the smallest detail to escape his notice which meant we achieved the best and fairest outcome possible.”

Notable Cases

Llewellyn assisted on a complex Employment Tribunal matter in which the Claimant had brought claims of automatic unfair dismissal, public interest disclosure detriments, direct disability discrimination, sex discrimination, disability discrimination, a failure to make reasonable adjustments, harassment on the grounds of race and/or disability, direct race discrimination and unlawful deduction from wages.

Acting on behalf of the Respondent, Llewellyn assisted in filing strike out applications to the Employment Tribunal based on the fact that the Claimant had failed to comply with 15 separate case management directions and was either late or had partially complied with another 3 case management directions (including an Unless Order).

The Employment Tribunal found that the Claimant had failed to comply with orders of the tribunal, had acted in an unreasonable manner and that a fair trial in the existing listing window was not possible due to the Claimant’s failure to produce a witness statement. For these reasons, the Tribunal accepted the Respondent’s strike out application and struck out the Claimant’s claims, which was a fantastic result for the Respondent.
