Dual-qualified in the USA and UK, Helen has vast knowledge and experience in business acquisitions and disposals, investment rounds, MBOs, restructuring and other corporate work.

She acts for start-ups and SME companies, partnerships, entrepreneurs, investors and shareholders.

Experience

For the first eight years of her career, Helen worked at international firm Shearman & Sterling. Prior to Devonshires, Helen was a Partner at Gannons Solicitors.

Personal

Helen is a keen netball player and occasional triathlete. With a keen interest in nurturing talent, Helen also acts as the firm’s Training Principal outside of her day to day work.

Notable Cases

Investment round of £8.5m for Social Value Portal led by Mercia alongside existing investor Beringea.

Acquisition by Twig Group of Mobi Market in a deal worth over $10m. Twig Group is the fastest growing European fintech, providing an array of financial services rooted in circular economy principles.

Capital Reduction Demerger of a property development business owned by two brothers with a value in excess of £7m. The matter had become contentious with a splitting of the business seen as the only way to proceed. I advised the company on the most efficient means of restructuring the business to achieve this.
