Neil recently spoke at the Leasehold Conference at 9 St John Street Chambers in Manchester.
Neil regularly presents seminars as part of the Housing Management and Leasehold Management Team’s seminar programme.
Neil’s responsibilities include conducting housing litigation which involves defending disrepair claims and advising clients of settlements, bringing actions for nuisance such as possession proceedings, Anti-Social Behaviour Injunctions, bringing possession actions for unlawful sub-letting, non-occupation and disputed succession claims. Neil also conducts general property litigation which includes both residential and commercial properties. This includes claims for forfeiture, business lease renewal claims under Landlord and Tenant Act 1954, service charge disputes including recovery of unpaid service charges and s20 consultation and Judicial Review. Neil also provides non-contentious advice in respect of housing and leasehold management and general property matters.
Prior to Devonshires Solicitors, Neil worked as a Solicitor at Prince Evans in the Litigation Department dealing with Landlord and Tenant disputes involving Anti-Social Behaviour, squatters and disrepair.
